In spite of our absence on this tlog during February, we were excited to see the team’s rejuvenation and subsequent 9 wins in the final 10 games of the regular season.  Unfortunately, the shocking loss to UNCG in the first round of the Socon Tournament gives us a sickening feeling akin to that experienced after the first loss to Penn, way back in November. 

We’re not sure what to expect next season, having expected the world from this program for three years in a row, only to be treated to an embarrassing early exit from the Socon Tournament come March.  As Coach said after the most recent disaster against UNCG, “this is just not how we do things at Davidson.”  We sure hope not.  Two first round exists in a row from the Socon tournament have gone a long way in dampening our still over-inflated expectations following the 2007-08 run.
